THE LAMP

This project explores the intersection of materiality, craftsmanship, and atmosphere through the design of a sculptural lamp created from the combination of wood, ceramic, and lighting design. The piece investigates how contrasting materials can work together to create an object that feels both tactile and emotive.

Through an iterative process of prototyping and handcraft, the project explored the relationship between hard and soft surfaces, opacity and translucency, and natural and manufactured elements. The resulting form blurs the boundary between functional object and sculptural piece, highlighting how lighting can transform both material perception and spatial atmosphere
